Building a Fabric Shrine: Hand Applique Workshop
Reconnect with your creative voice stitch yourself a beautifully crafted shrine that inspires and empowers with this step-by-step appliqué tutorial. You’ll be guided through brainstorming your concept to stitching it into life; with tips on selecting materials, creating impactful compositions, and layering fabrics. Whether you're a seasoned stitcher or new to appliqué, this tutorial will leave you feeling confident in your ability to create something unique and meaningful. These lessons include a much easier version of the needle turned applique method; including reverse applique (and even a little machine embroidery "cheat" that looks just like handmade). This technique is a wonderful accompaniment to hand embroidery as it helps cover large areas quickly. There are five patterns included to help you learn the applique techniques, but you're welcome to design your own using the skills taught in these lessons!
